Looking over my blog stats is an interesting experience. I never really used to bother with it, but in the last month or so, this blog has had a huge increase in popularity hits. Now, I’m not trying to brag, believe me, it’s nothing special compared to most serious blogs, but I’ve had a number of days that broke 120 unique hits. Pretty good for a complete nobody blogging about games and such. Maybe it’s just because I’m linked up to this superpopular blog (cheap plug? Nooo…).

But you know what’s really got me scratching my head after looking at my site stats? Why in the heck are so many people searching for Street Fighter RPG related material? Does it really still have any popularity? I don’t know, but I get at least a few hits every day on my Street Fighter RPG review, and folks keep stumbling onto my blog after entering ‘Street Fighter RPG’ into their search engine of choice. Hmmm. Perhaps there’s a loyal cult following out there gunning for any material or information they can get their hands on?

Anyway, if it really is still popular, or you’re uninitiated but still interested, here’s a few more links for you to browse through. Most of the old SF RPG related sites seem to be abandoned or offline now, but I managed to scrounge up a few more. Good luck getting a game together! I know how frustrating it can be attempting to get anybody to play an out of print or out of style RPG with you.

Street Fighter Ultra – has several very good articles, including an informative piece on the fictional Interpol agency of the SF universe. A list of must-have cliches is attatched to the end (like the Chief of Operations wearing an eyepatch or the sexy British agent in a skin-tight outfit, etc).

Morgan’s Streetfighter RPG Page – mostly links, but it has a very silly new style for characters called ‘Thrash Boxing’. Also has information for making campaigns out of sidescrolling beat ‘em ups like Streets of Rage, Final Fight, and Double Dragon.

Musashi’s Unread Street Fighter STG Page – this is the site I included in the prior review. It’s pretty much the best I’ve found yet. He has some serious information about the game, in addition to some hilarious parody information, like his min/max supercharacters that you can create from the start of the game by simply abusing the rules.

Black & White Dynamite – still updated as of April 2008. The guy has information on a campaign he ran for SF set in the 1970’s. Awesome. Also has stats for King of Fighters characters.

And finally…

Street Fighter Flash Online Game – alright, this is totally off-topic as far as the RPG is concerned, but seriously, go waste some time playing this flash version of Street Fighter. It’s the bee’s knees.

MegaDriver – maybe even more off-topic, but MegaDriver is fucking awesome. They’re a band from Brazil who release free mp3’s of their metal covers of famous video game themes. Check out their Street Fighter section, including truly marvellous renditions of Vega and Ken’s theme tunes.
